Tricia Garton ~ 10+ Years of Service!

Please join us in congratulating Tricia Garton for 10+ years of service at ADM!

Tricia Garton is a 2nd Grade Teacher at Meadow View Elementary School.  She is celebrating 10 years of service teaching for ADM, however she has completed 12 years with ADM collectively.  She worked as an Office Assistant at DeSoto Intermediate for 2 years before obtaining her teaching degree and returning to our district as a 2nd grade teacher.

Tricia was born in Des Moines, IA and raised in Earlham, IA.  She went to Central College for her graduate studies and later returned to Drake University for her Masters in Teaching.  Her previous career background was in marketing and public relations before beginning her career in education.

Tricia shifted from the business world and decided she wanted to become a teacher because she found a lot of negativity in the corporate world – all without any feeling of a greater purpose.  She finds a joyful purpose in helping children learn and feels that schools are inherently positive environments.  Tricia chose ADM because it is close to home and ADM is a great community where she was proud to raise her family.  She stays with ADM because she absolutely loves her team at Meadow View.

When Tricia is not in the classroom, she loves reading and spending time with her family.  She also loves to golf and she shot an all-time best this past summer!

Thank you, Tricia Garton, for your 10+ years of service with ADM!
