Welcome to Adel Elementary! Serving all ADM students in Preschool-1st grade, Adel Elementary provides small class sizes and age-appropriate early childhood education practices across all content areas and grade levels. We are proud to host a Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program, which provides an inclusive environment for four-year-olds, integrating students with special needs alongside their peers. We value our partnership with families and welcome involvement through events, volunteering, Watch D.O.G.S., or joining students for lunch.
Our dedicated educators are lifelong learners who participate in ongoing professional development, particularly in literacy and mathematics, to provide high-quality instruction to all students. Grade-level teams emphasize essential “power standards” to support foundational skills and frequent communication ensures families are engaged in student progress. We’re honored to be the starting point for each child’s educational journey and are committed to creating a nurturing, supportive environment for all learners. Note: Under Iowa law and ADM policy, digital instruction for students in grades K–5 is limited to a maximum of 60 minutes per day. Technology is used to support – not supplant – foundational learning, and digital devices are not permitted during recess. Parents have the right to request additional reductions in their child’s digital instruction. Requests should be directed to the building principal.
