Trevor Mickelson ~ 5 Years of Service!

Please join us in congratulating Trevor Mickelson for 5 years of service at ADM!

Trevor is the Head Boys Basketball Coach for ADM Schools.  He was born and raised in Webster City, IA, and he attended Iowa State University where he received a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.  He received his MA in Education from Drake University.

In addition to coaching, Trevor is also a high school social studies teacher for Waukee Community Schools.  Between coaching and teaching, this is his 15th year in his education career.

Trevor wanted to be a coach and an educator because he had great role models when he was in school that helped shape his future and he is hoping to have that same impact on young people today.  He chose ADM because the reputation of the school and the community were very appealing to him.  When asked why he stays at ADM, he shared, “The support of the administration has been incredible and the students I've been able to work with are amazing young people.  From the moment I joined the ADM community, I've been welcomed with open arms.”  Watching our student-athletes compete in a variety of different activities and seeing the support they give to / receive from their peers and the community is what Trevor enjoys most about coaching for ADM.

Trevor recalls his favorite memory at ADM being a win against Pella to qualify for the state tournament.  Regarding this moment, he shares, “The environment was electric!”

Outside of work, Trevor enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids.  He loves watching his kids participate in activities they enjoy.

Please join us in congratulating Trevor Mickelson for 5 years of service at ADM!
