Please join us in congratulating Michelle Johnson for 5 years of service at ADM!

Michelle is an associate at Meadow View Elementary School.  She is also a retired teacher who fills in as a substitute teacher as needed.  Michelle was born in Estherville, IA and raised in Atlantic, IA.  She received her Bachelor’s in Human Services, then went on to get her Education degree and, eventually, her Master’s in Education.  Michelle started out as a social worker and held various positions including working for the SUCCESS program for Des Moines Public Schools.  She also held positions as an at-risk coordinator for Ankeny and Urbandale Schools.  Collectively, Michelle has 21 years in education and 41 years assisting students in various forms.

Michelle loves working for a school because, as she states, “Kids are my jam, and working with other adults who have the same feeling is amazing.”  She chose ADM because of the great reputation.  She wanted to work in the same school district that she lived in.  What she loves most about her role at ADM is seeing how the kids grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Outside of school, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 4 grandchildren.  She and her husband enjoy their family of 3 dogs and 1 cat.  Michelle also enjoys entertaining and loves to bake and cook.

Thank you, Michelle Johnson, for your 5 years of service with ADM Schools!
