Kylie Crowell ~ 5 Years of Service!

Please join us in congratulating Kylie Crowell for 5 years of service at ADM!

Kylie Crowell is a 1st Grade Teacher at Adel Elementary School.  She was born and raised in Winterset, Iowa and she attended University of Northern Iowa for her Elementary Education degree.

Kylie always knew she wanted to be a teacher, both of her parents are educators so she grew up in the  education world.  She is very passionate about encouraging children to be the best version of themselves.

She chose ADM because it is close to the home and is a great community.  Prior to teaching with ADM, Kylie feels grateful for her opportunity to fulfill her student teaching requirement with ADM as well as fill a long term sub position for ADM.  She states that she fell in love with the building and staff during these experiences.  She stays with ADM for the same reason, but also because she feels, as she states, “It is so obvious how much each student's success means to this district and I want to be a part of that. I can't imagine teaching anywhere else!”

Kylie feels that 1st grade is a huge year for students in their literacy journey.  She shares her passion for their discovery by sharing, “Some students come to first grade only knowing letter sounds and a few sight words.  By the time they leave first grade, they can read a connected text and hundreds of sight words.  It truly is the best part of my job to see kids become confident readers in just one year's time.”

When Kylie is not in her classroom, she enjoys being with her husband and 2 children, going on walks, shopping, and drinking coffee.

Thank you, Kylie Crowell, for your 5 years of service with ADM!
