Maggie Bemis ~ 5 Years of Service!

Please join us in congratulating Maggie Bemis for 5 years of service at ADM! 

Maggie Bemis is a Special Education Teacher at Meadow View Elementary School.  She was born in Waterloo, Iowa and raised in Dubuque, Iowa.  She went to University of Northern Iowa where she received her Early Childhood and Elementary Education degrees.  

When asked why she wanted to become a teacher, Maggie shared that she is proud to be following in the footsteps of both of her grandmothers as well as her mother.  She stated their passion for teaching showed her what a rewarding career teaching can be.  

Maggie taught 1st grade and Special Education at Highland Elementary in Waterloo for 8 years before coming to ADM.  She chose to come to ADM because of the clear sense of pride, community, and commitment to students.  She stays at ADM because of the supportive community that has been built.  She feels the dedication to teachers is evident to her every day and she enjoys working with her amazing special education team.  

What Maggie enjoys most about teaching special education at ADM is building relationships with students and their families.  She strives for her classroom to be a safe place for all of her students to learn and grow.  

Outside of work, Maggie enjoys spending time with family.
