New Teacher Spotlight: Welcome Nick Whitsell!

Nick Whitsell joins DeSoto Intermediate and ADM Middle School as a 5th-8th Grade PE and Health Teacher this year.  He is an Iowa State University graduate who enjoys being physically active, lifting weights, being around friends and family, and watching sports in his free time.  

Nick begins his first year teaching this year and chose ADM because he’s heard nothing but great things about the district.  He wants to be in a community that cares not only for their students but for their teachers, staff, and families.  He wanted to become a teacher because he wants to encourage students to enjoy being active and teach them that there are so many creative ways to stay active.  He feels his PE teachers left a very positive impact on him and he wants to leave the same positive impact on his students.
