New Counselor Spotlight: Welcome Marissa Briley!

Marissa Briley joins ADM as a School Counselor at DeSoto Intermediate this year!  Marissa graduated from Northwest Missouri State (BA) and Buena Vista University (MA) and is starting her 7th year in education. Prior to joining ADM, Marissa was a counselor for Glenwood Community Schools. 

Marissa is an ADM graduate and her family still lives in and farms here.  She chose ADM because she wants her children to have the same exceptional educational experience that she feels fortunate to have received.  As she states, “ADM is more than just a place of employment to me — it is home.  The opportunity to serve the community that has shaped me is both an honor and a privilege.”

Marissa wanted to pursue a career in education because she had many exceptional teachers who consistently encouraged her to be the best version of herself.  She feels inspired by them and wants to be that person for her students; to encourage and support them, and to help them recognize their own potential so they can be the best versions of themselves.  

In her free time, Marissa enjoys playing with her 2 boys, spending time with family, and boating at the Lake of the Ozarks.
