New Teacher Spotlight: Welcome Abbi Allen

Abbi Allen, a graduate from Central College, joins the ADM team teaching 1st Grade at Adel Elementary School this year.  She is starting her 1st year teaching.  

Abbi wanted to become a teacher because she loves helping students better themselves educationally while also allowing them to be themselves. Mrs. Allen wants her classroom to be a place where students feel safe and welcome at all times..  

She chose ADM because, as she states, “the minute I stepped into a long-term sub position last year I felt so welcome. The staff was so kind and made me feel right at home. I also felt a sense of pride in the district because of the goal-driven attitude of all of the staff.”

Outside of the classroom, Abbi enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends.  One of her favorite things to do is go out to eat or get coffee.  She also enjoys floral design as a side hobby.
