May Parent and Family Update

5/12/2026

ADM Families,

With the school year winding down, we are pushing strong to the finish line. These closing weeks of the school year are always vibrant; filled with the excitement of spring concerts, athletic events, and special moments to celebrate our dedicated staff during teacher appreciation week and our school board during school board appreciation month. Though May is busy, we are committed to finishing strong and ensuring that each day is meaningful for students. I am especially looking forward to our graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 24, at 2:30 PM, as we recognize a truly remarkable group of seniors. Their successes, combined with the hard work of all our students and staff, provide plenty of reasons to celebrate. Please see the updates below for more details as we conclude another great year.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Each year we deliver drinks and treats to every building during Teacher Appreciation Week for all staff. We travel through each building to hand deliver these small tokens of our appreciation and the time spent connecting with staff and with students along the way is really special! Our teachers and staff are exceptional and it was a great pleasure to talk directly with over 350 of them as we visited each building. If you have not done so, I would encourage you to write a kind note of encouragement and thanks to any teachers who have made an impact on your students while attending ADM.

School Board Appreciation Month

May is School Board Appreciation Month! Our school board members give of their time and energy to lead our district and I can’t thank them enough. Thank you to Tim Canney, Nikki West, Melissa Dohlman, Heith Hockenberry, and Becky Schrock for your leadership and dedication to the students and families of ADM!

2026 ISASP Results Delayed

The ISASP math and ELA assessments were updated by the state of Iowa for this spring’s ISASP assessments. Due to this, the results of the 2026 ISASP assessment have been delayed while the Iowa Department of Education completes a review of assessments and determines proficiency levels for the new tests. ADM anticipates that student scores with performance level indicators will not be available until late July or early August. All districts in Iowa are experiencing this same delay. When scores become available, parents will receive an email with information about how to login to an online portal to access their student’s full ISASP report.
