ADM Middle School Teams Take Home Grand Prize and Design Award in Bridge-Building Challenge

Seventh-grade GATE students represented ADM with pride at the Ready, Set, Build Bridge-Building Competition on Thursday, November 13, held at the Science Center of Iowa. Competing against teams from across the region, these students showcased creativity, engineering skill, and teamwork.

One ADM team, consisting of Hope Teachout, Charley Steinfeldt, Charlee Schwertfeger, and Rya Behrens, earned the Innovative Design Award, recognized for their imaginative construction techniques.

Another team, consisting of Pepper Rains, Iris Spargo, and Ivy Kaelin, captured the competition’s Grand Prize for Structural Efficiency, with a bridge that impressively held 45 pounds!
