Meadow View Elementary 4th grade students had an exciting day exploring the outdoors at VOAS.

In the morning, students learned how to use a compass and practiced their navigation skills with guidance from the knowledgeable naturalists who are such great teachers and made learning fun. In the afternoon, students used maps to find hidden “treasures” out in the prairie, with help from some wonderful parent volunteers.

Throughout the day, they focused on teamwork, communication, and caring for our environment. It was an active, hands-on field trip that students always enjoy!
