Cristin Kreifels ~ 10 Years of Service!

Please join us in congratulating Cristin Kreifels for 10 years of service at ADM!
Cristin is a 4th grade teacher at Meadow View Elementary School. She was born and raised in Atlantic, IA and she went to Iowa State University to receive her BA degree, and St. Mary’s University in Minnesota to receive her MA degree. Prior to ADM, Cristin taught at Rochester Public Schools in Minnesota (4th and 6th grade) and at Rochester Catholic Schools (Technology Teacher). This school year began Cristin’s 18th year as a school teacher.
Mrs. Kreifels wanted to be a teacher because she has always loved to work with children and truly enjoys building relationships with each child she meets. While reflecting on why she chose ADM, Cristin shared that she and her husband researched school districts before looking at houses when they decided to move from Minnesota back to Iowa. ADM stood out to them as this district was well known for being the best in academics. When their children started school, Cristin shared, “I was so impressed with not only the education they were receiving, but also how wonderful and kind the teachers were. I knew when my youngest started kindergarten, there was no other place I would rather be.” She stays with ADM because she loves the community and the district so much.
Cristin reflects on finding her ultimate comfort zone with teaching 4th grade. She shares, “4th graders are so awesomely weird and fun. They still love their teachers, but are old enough to dig into learning independently. In my opinion, 4th grade is the Cadillac of grades!”
Outside of her classroom, Cristin enjoys reading, boating, traveling, making sourdough bread, and spending time with her family. At the moment, however, Cristin’s main hobby has shifted almost entirely to wedding planning, as her oldest daughter got engaged to a fellow ADM alum this fall!
Thank you, Cristin Kreifels, for your compassion and your 10 years of service with ADM!
