April Parent and Family Update

4/14/2026

ADM Families,

The weather is changing and it appears that spring is here! With warmer weather comes spring sports and activities, as well as end of year excitement that includes wishing our seniors well as they conclude their time at ADM! While the end of the school year is fast approaching, we remain focused on maximizing the remaining days to meet our wildly important goal.
2025-26 Wildly Important Goal: Decrease PS-11 students scoring 'Not Yet Proficient' in reading/ELA from 12% to 10% by June 1, 2026.

New High School: Updates

Work continues on the construction of the new high school! In March, the ADM Board of Education received an update from FRK Architects and Engineers about the progress being made, which included some updated photos of the construction site. Take a look at the linked presentation to view the updated photos. As a reminder, updates are also posted to ADM’s Facility Master Planning portion of the ADM Website. Preschool Center: Updates

As part of the 2023 bond referendum, voters approved funds to repurpose the DeSoto building to become an ADM Preschool Center. This project involves the demolition of the 1922 three-story portion of the DeSoto building and minimal renovation to the remaining portions to serve as a preschool center. Planning is currently underway for this project which will result in the preschool leaving Adel Elementary and moving to the preschool center in DeSoto for the start of the 2028-29 school year.
