Ryan Entriken and Sydney Kuhse were recently recognized by the Iowa Governor’s Scholar Program for their outstanding achievements in academics.
The Governor’s Office, the Iowa High School Athletic Association, and its title sponsor, the Iowa Farm Bureau, annually present this recognition, which began in 2003. The largest 64 schools in Iowa each identified two seniors who were the highest academic achievers during the first seven semesters of their high school careers. All other schools identified one senior who was the highest academic achiever for the first seven semesters of their high school career.
Recipients of this recognition attended the Governor’s Scholar Ceremony, on April 28, received a photo plaque from the ceremony, and a certificate to commemorate their achievement.
Ryan Entriken and Sydney Kuhse both hold a high GPA and are well-rounded students, participating in various activities, in addition to their academics. Their high achievements do not go unnoticed. In talking with Ryan, he identified Mrs. Gettler as his most influential teacher. Sydney identified Mr. Reams as her most influential teacher. Both students will continue their education at Iowa State University next year. Sydney plans to major in Civil Engineering and Ryan plans to major in Ag Business.
Join us in congratulating Sydney and Ryan on this special recognition and honor!
