In late September, ADM high school student Sarah Tapken competed at the Aksarben Stock Show in Grand Island, Nebraska. Sarah and her steer named Ham won Reserve Champion in the Aksarben Calf Challenge, earning Sarah a $3,000 scholarship! Ten youth are selected to participate from fourteen states. Sarah was the only youth selected from the state of Iowa. As part of the competition, Sarah kept records for a year and completed an interview.
