Please join us in congratulating Kim Timmerman for 20 years of consecutive service at ADM! Kim is currently the principal of ADM Middle School.
Kim is starting her 25th year in education. Prior to coming to ADM, Kim taught English and speech at Villisca and was a guidance counselor at Des Moines Lincoln High School. Kim was born and raised in Audubon, Iowa and she received her BA degree from Simpson College, a master’s degree in school counseling from Drake, a master’s degree in school administration from Viterbo University, and a doctorate in education from Capella University specializing in reading and literacy.
Kim came to ADM because her dad wanted her to interview. After the interview, Kim knew she loved ADM and “wanted to be here forever!”. Kim is still at ADM “because I still LOVE ADM. My family loves ADM and we all know that it is the best place in the world! I am blessed with the best staff and can’t imagine my world without them. I also sometimes joke that I am stuck in my middle school years because I can’t say enough how much I love middle school students and feel that they are the absolute best grade levels to be with.”
Kim states she enjoys the relationships she has with so many amazing people in her current role as the Middle School principal. Her favorite work memory is playing capture the flag and the scavenger hunt in Adel with the MS staff. When not at the Middle School, Kim enjoys being with family, reading, and taking walks.
Please help us thank Kim for her support and service to the ADM community.
