Please join us in congratulating Megan Rowe for 15 years of consecutive service at ADM!
Megan was born and raised in Adel, Iowa. She then went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in K-6 Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement from Northwest Missouri State University and her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Morningside College. Megan has experience teaching special education, third grade and fifth grade.
Megan is currently a special education teacher at Meadow View Elementary and is starting her 16th year in education.
Megan chose ADM because it is home to her. When asked why she chose ADM, Megan shared, “ I chose ADM because it is home. I couldn’t imagine teaching anywhere else. I have had opportunities I couldn’t get anywhere else. I’ve gotten to teach alongside teachers I had going through school. I have also gotten to teach family members and high school classmates’ children. Now, I get to teach in the same school as my own son. It’s awesome.” Megan chose to stay at ADM because there is no place like home!
Megan wanted to be a teacher because she likes working with children. When she was in middle school and high school, she babysat and taught dance classes. She also had a 6th grade teacher who became a great mentor.
When asked what she loves most about her current role, Megan shared, “I work with the most amazing adults and children. I work closely with teachers and administrators at Meadow View, the district’s special education coach, and AEA consultants. They all work relentlessly to put students first, while having fun. Additionally, I work with awesome students. I look forward to coming to work.” In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Oaklan (8) and Asher (4). They enjoy traveling and spending time outside. On Sunday evenings, they spend time at Megan parents’ home with extended family enjoying dinner and fun. During the summer, Megan and her boys love going on Adventures the zoo, library, and various parks throughout the metro.
Please help us thank Megan for her support and service to the ADM community.
