New Teacher Spotlight: Welcome Jaclyn Vander Waal!

Jaclyn Vander Waal joins the ADM High School team as a first year teacher teaching 9th and 11th grade English Language Arts. Jaclyn is a graduate of Dordt University and chose teaching because she believes that “stories matter and that stories help us connect with and better understand the world and the people around us.” Jaclyn shared, “My deep hope is that our students leave our classrooms knowing that their stories are valuable, important and worth sharing. I hope they learn to collect many stories — stories of themselves, of their peers and of the world they live in today.”

Jacklyn chose ADM High School because “it is a school that cultivates a growth mindset in both students and teachers. ADM strives to support, challenge and encourage students as they grow each day and accomplish their goals.” In her free time, Jacklyn enjoys reading, long walks and puzzles. Help us give a warm ADM welcome Jaclyn Vander!
