The ADM Community School District is proud to be a part of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program. Please read below for important information about registering for four-year-old preschool at ADM for the 2023-24 school year.

Step 1: Complete Preschool Registration November 1 – December 1, 2022.

  • Preschool registration will take place online through Infinite Campus.
  • Information about how to register online will be available on ADM’s Student Registration portion of the district website starting on November 1, 2022.
  • Please Note:
    • Eligibility: Children must be four years old on or before September 15, 2023 in order to register.
    • Selection Process: Completing registration does not guarantee a spot in ADM’s four-year-old preschool program. Please read below for information about the selection process.
    • Registration Window: Families who do not complete registration between November 1 and December 1 will not be considered as part of the initial selection process and will be placed on a waiting list.

Step Two: Selection Process

  • ADM will use the following process to identify students for entry to ADM’s four-year-old preschool program. Families must complete the registration process by December 1 in order to be considered in the selection phases below.
    • Selection Phase 1 –  IEP Students: Resident students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that requires instruction from a special education teacher will automatically receive entrance to ADM’s four-year-old preschool program. ADM is legally required to accept all students who meet this criteria, regardless of when registration occurs.
    • Selection Phase 2 – Children of ADM Staff: Children of ADM staff members will automatically receive entrance to ADM’s four-year-old preschool program as space allows. ADM anticipates that approximately only 10%-15% of preschool seats will be taken by children of ADM employees. In the unlikely event that there are more ADM staff member children than seats available (after IEP students have been awarded seats), ADM will utilize a lottery drawing to identify which students will be selected.
    • Selection Phase 3 – Resident Students: Resident students will automatically receive entrance to ADM’s four-year-old preschool program as space allows. In the event that there are more ADM resident children than seats available (after IEP students and children of staff members have been awarded seats), ADM will utilize a lottery drawing to identify which students will be selected.
    • Selection Phase 4 – Non-Resident Students: Non-resident students will automatically receive entrance to ADM’s four-year-old preschool program as space allows. In the event that there are more non- resident children than seats available (after IEP students, children of staff members, and resident students have been awarded seats), ADM will utilize a lottery drawing to identify which students will be selected.

Step Three: Notification Process

  • All families who completed the online preschool registration process for their child will receive an email by mid-January indicating if their child has been selected for ADM’s four-year-old preschool program. Students who are not selected will be placed on a waiting list.
  • In the event a spot becomes available in preschool, ADM will utilize a lottery drawing of all waitlisted students to offer the open spot.

Additional information about the ADM preschool program can be found on the district website. We would encourage you to read this information carefully for important details about the program.

Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide four year old students in the ADM community with greater access to quality preschool curricula. The opportunity to address early literacy, mathematics and social skills instruction will provide a solid foundation for continued learning in future years. If you have questions, feel free to contact for further information.

Sincerely,
