Please join us in congratulating Melissa Greer for 15 years of consecutive service at ADM!

Melissa was born in Bellflower, California and raised in Dallas Center, Iowa. She went on to receive her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Upper Iowa University.

Melissa is currently a Literacy Interventionist at Adel Elementary and is starting her 22nd year in education. Beyond teaching at ADM, she has experience in Johnston CSD as a teacher’s associate, a Preschool Lead Teacher at Kids Company, and a Special Education Teacher at Colfax Mingo CSD.

Melissa chose ADM because it is where her and her husband wanted to live and raise a family. When asked why she chose to stay at ADM, Melissa shared, “This is a great district with a supportive administration, you don’t find that everywhere! My colleagues make it easy and fun to come to school each day.”

Melissa wanted to be a teacher because being a teacher’s associate, she loved working with kids. She also wanted a career that allowed her to have time with her family.

When asked what she loves about her current role, Melissa shared, “I love working with students who are just beginning their roles as readers. I love to see their faces light up when they have accomplished a new task, it is just the best!” In her free time, Melissa enjoys reading, playing card and board games, and spending time with her family.

Please help us thank Melissa for her support and service to the ADM community.
