ADM is excited to announce that Anthony Lohse has accepted the position of Assistant Principal at DeSoto Intermediate and ADM Middle School.

Mr. Lohse brings extensive school leadership experience with him to ADM. He has been the middle school principal and special education director at West Central Valley since 2009. He has also served as co-superintendent at WCV since 2019. Anthony was high school principal at Louisa-Muscatine prior to moving to WCV, and he taught special education prior to entering into school leadership. 

Anthony and his wife Heather have three kids – Quinn (19), Zoey (16), and Libby (14). He graduated from UNI in 1997 with a degree in Elementary Education. Anthony received his M.S. in Educational Administration from ISU in 2003, and he completed his superintendent licensure program at UNI in 2017. 

When asked about his new position at ADM, Anthony stated, “I am extremely excited to be a part of the ADM Schools! I cannot wait to begin supporting the great teachers, administrators, and students in this new role. Joining a growing district with a commitment to excellence for all students is quite an honor. Go Tigers!”

“Anthony Lohse’s skill set, experience, and student-centered focus will bring so much to this administrative position. We could not be more pleased to have Anthony join our team, as we know that his impact on staff and students will be immense,” said DeSoto Intermediate Principal, Amy Hemphill. Kim Timmerman, Middle School Principal adds, “We are super excited to have Anthony on our team!  Anthony’s strengths include handling situations with kindness and respect, building a high level of trust with all stakeholders, and his humble and compassionate demeanor is something that we already value about him!”

Mr. Lohse will start his new position in August.
