The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District, in conjunction with the Adel Police Department, is presenting D.A.R.E.’s Keeping it REAL curriculum at DeSoto Intermediate School. The D.A.R.E. Program will be presented to all fifth grade students.  The program will be taught by Monte Keller, City of Adel Police Officer and ADM School Resource Officer.  The D.A.R.E. Keeping it REAL curriculum teaches students skills in decision making, assessing risk, dealing with stress, using effective communication, and resisting peer pressure, along with information about drugs that they need to be able to make informed choices.  Officer Keller will be in the ADM fifth grade classrooms for eight sessions of 35 minutes each.
