On Saturday, Feb. 12 the 7th and 8th grade band students traveled to Norwalk for the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association (SCIBA) Middle School Large Group Contest. Each band performed two pieces for the audience and two judges. The 7th grade band performed “Fighting Falcon March” by Todd Stalter and “Sugar Creek Overture” by Robert Sheldon. They were awarded a 1+ rating – the best score possible! The 8th grade band performed “Celtic Air and Dance” by Michael Sweeney and “American Legion March” by Charles Parker. This band also received a I+ rating! This is the first time ADM has received these ratings. All the students performed VERY well and represented ADM Middle School by displaying respectful and hard working character. It was a great day to be a Tiger!
