On Tuesday, November 2, middle school band students participated in the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association Honor Band at Ankeny Centennial High School. Seventh graders Meredith Maddy (trumpet), Gianna Benetti (clarinet), and Jillian Janssen (clarinet) were selected by nomination. Eighth graders Nic Fuller (trumpet) and Claire Roorda (clarinet) were selected by a judged audition held in Waukee in early October. The students rehearsed with many other south central Iowa students and learned from guest conductors during the afternoon. The event culminated with an evening concert for friends and family. Our students represented ADM very well at the event and worked hard to share their musical success with others! Congratulations!
