Tiger Cross Country Runners Advance To State Meet
The ADM Boys Cross Country team and junior, Geneva Timmerman have qualified for the Iowa High School State Cross Country meet on Friday, October 29th in Fort Dodge. The ADM girls and boys cross country teams ran at Winterset on Wednesday October 20th in a state qualifying meet for class 3-A where teams in top 3 and individuals placing in the top 15 advanced to the state meet.
Junior, Geneva Timmerman took home the girls state qualifying meet championship and advanced to the state meet by winning the race.
The ADM Boys placed third in the team standings and had 2 individuals place in the top 15 at the state qualifying meet in Winterset. Members of the boys cross country team that will be advancing to the state meet are: Cooper Greenslade, Quinton Kimrey, Torin Timmerman, Hubie Chaplin, Grant Vandevoorde, Ryan Entriken, and Hunter Lanphair.
The state cross country meet will be held at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge. The 3A girls race will start at 2:30 pm with the 3A boys race to follow at 3:15 pm. The class 3A awards ceremony will start at 4:00 pm.
