Each fall Adel Elementary staff and students celebrate our love of reading by recognizing Children’s Book Week. This year’s theme was Adel Elementary’s Favorite Things. Throughout the week, students enjoyed reading new books, participating in engaging math and writing activities, and daily clothing opportunities to go along with our theme of our favorite things. Additionally, students earned tickets when they demonstrated characteristics of Tiger Pals. These tickets were put into a drawing for students to win new books. Along with our celebration of literacy, we enjoyed giving back to our favorite communities: Adel, DeSoto, and Minburn by collecting items to donate to the Good Samaritan Food Pantry of Adel.
