Throughout the year, all Adel Elementary and DeSoto Intermediate students are invited to a special celebration to honor their birthdays (or half birthdays) called Birthday Buddies. Students join Adel Elementary Principal, Mrs. Anderson, DeSoto Intermediate Principal, Mrs. Banse, or Assistant Principal, Mrs. Hemphill for a birthday-themed read aloud coupled with time to discuss the highlights of their birthdays. Birthday Buddies is a time students and administrators always look forward to, as it provides a time for relationship building and celebrating!
