The Family and Consumer Science Prostart Class has been demonstrating how to use a variety of herbs and spices in their cooking. Recently, one group created their own taco seasoning rather than using the typical store bought packet. We also had homemade curry and meat and potatoes. We are continuing to practice our cooking methods today by poaching pears in a honey, ginger, cinnamon syrup. Students use REAL cinnamon sticks and seeds from inside a vanilla bean.
