Fourth Grade

Fourth Grade Faculty

Michelle Grimoskas

I was born and raised in Waverly, Iowa and graduated from Wartburg College in 2013. I played 4 years of tennis at Wartburg and graduated with an elementary education degree along with reading and coaching endorsements. I moved to Platteville, WI after graduation and taught fourth grade for two years in Dodgeville, WI before I moved to West Des Moines in 2015 and continued my teaching career at ADM. My husband, Nick, and I love to watch all of our TV shows (we are TV junkies), try out new restaurants around the area, and spend time with our families and friends. We are also huge Iowa fans – Go Hawks!

We moved to Iowa from South Florida in 2009 ago to give our children a better education. My husband and I both grew up in the Midwest and wanted the Midwestern values and emphasis on education that are found at ADM. We have four children. Our son, Kyle now plays baseball for Cornerstone University and Jay attends Iowa State. Caleb is in high school and Abby is in middle school, both at ADM. I am privileged to be doing what I love, teaching.

Jessica Nichols

I grew up in Adel, Iowa where I graduated from ADM. I received my Elementary Education degree in 2008 from Iowa State University.  I also received a minor in Spanish after studying abroad in Spain for a summer.  Shortly after graduating I began substitute teaching for the ADM district.  I then spent a year working with ELL and special education students in the district.  At the beginning of the 2010 school year I started teaching 5th grade at DeSoto Intermediate.  After 4 great years with 5th graders, I made a change and began teaching 4th grade at the beginning of the 2014 school year.  I absolutely love it!  In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my 2 nieces!  I also enjoy reading about anything I can get my hands on and I’m a huge fan of binge watching TV shows on Netflix.

After graduating from Mason City High School, I attended Iowa State University, where I graduated with a degree in Business Management and Logistics Supply Chain Management in 2007. I then continued my education at ISU pursuing my degree in Elementary Education. After graduation in 2009, I received my Reading Endorsement from Viterbo University. In 2010, I began teaching at DeSoto Intermediate. I obtained my Masters of Arts in Education from Viterbo University in 2011. I live in Waukee with my husband, Kyle, our son, Grayson and our chocolate lab, Casey. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching our son learn and grow, reading and attending Cyclone sporting events.

I grew up in Boone, Iowa and attended Wartburg College where played volleyball for 1 year and tennis for 4 years. I graduated in 2012 with my Elementary Education degree, along with endorsements in Reading and Early Childhood. I began my teaching career in 2012 teaching 2nd grade in Tipton, IA. In 2014, I was eager to be back in Central Iowa, closer to family, and excited to begin teaching 4th grade at ADM. My husband, Brad, and I enjoy taking walks with our dog, Remi. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, spoiling my two nieces and two nephews, reading, and DIY projects.
