Integrated Unit
Integrated unit is a time to teach science and social studies. It provides an opportunity to integrate literacy into our content studies. We use a variety of materials to support this learning including: various types of texts and websites as well as the Mystery Science web-based curriculum for science instruction. We align our teaching with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), the Iowa Core Social Studies standards and Iowa Core 21st Century Skills.
