Hello! My name is Katie Ruhland and I serve our district as the School Counselor for Adel Elementary! I graduated from Iowa State University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. For the past four years, I have been a Kindergarten teacher here at Adel Elementary. I loved every second of watching students grow academically and socially. In May of 2023, I obtained my Master’s in School Counseling from Buena Vista University. I am passionate about relationships and student’s social emotional health. I am looking forward to a great year at Adel Elementary. It is a fabulous place to be!
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, playing card games, and spending time with my family and friends.
