Kindergarten Registration

Welcome to ADM Kindergarten Registration. In order to attend Kindergarten, incoming students must be 5 years old on or before September 15th of 2023. Registration is a multi-step process with different directions depending on your status and scenario. Directions: Select the following “status” that best describes the student you are registering for kindergarten and click the link to view specific registration directions:

“ADM Preschool Family”

Your child currently attends 4 year old preschool at ADM.

“ADM Prekindergarten Family”

Your child currently attends Prekindergarten at ADM

“New Family to ADM”

You currently have NO children enrolled in the ADM School District.

“Existing ADM Family”

You currently have children enrolled in the ADM School District.

Timeline

January 13, 2023: Kindergarten Registration Opens
- Please register during January and February to ensure you receive all communication related to kindergarten screening in preparation for your child to attend kindergarten at ADM.

Late March: Kindergarten Screening Email
- The email will include:
  - Information on the prekindergarten and kindergarten programs
  - Information on kindergarten screening
  - A parent questionnaire to complete providing additional information on your child
  - A sign up for your child’s kindergarten screening time

April 24 and April 25: Kindergarten Screening
- All children eligible to attend Kindergarten will attend both screening dates

Open Enrollment

On October 11th, 2021, the ADM Board approved a resolution to participate in open enrollment as a receiving district in grades K-8 for the 2022-23 school year. Presently, based on a review of the factors described in the policy linked below, it has been determined that open enrollment will be closed in grades 9-12 and for special education students in grades K-12 for the 2022-23 school year subject to the exceptions provided for in policy 501.13.

On October 10, 2022, the ADM Board approved to close open enrollment for Kindergarten and 4th grade for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year. Based on our current numbers in Kindergarten and 4th Grade, the district closed open enrollment due to high class sizes.
