5 Years of Service: Thank You, Alix Lifka-Reselman!

Alix Lifka-Reselman celebrates 5 years of service with ADM this year!
Alix is an Academic Interventionist at ADM High School. She was born in Boston, MA and raised in Sioux City, IA and Des Moines, IA. Alix received her BA from Brandeis University and her MAT from Drake University. She is starting her 13th year in her education career. Prior to ADM, Alix was a diving coach, a special education associate, and a substitute teacher for West Des Moines Community Schools. She also served Des Moines Public Schools as a diving coach as well as a teacher of various subjects (math, social studies, ELL, and credit recovery) for Scavo and North High School.
She wanted to be a teacher because everyday is different and you rarely get bored. Alix chose ADM because it seemed like an interesting opportunity. She stays with ADM because the district listens to teacher input and is willing to efficiently make the changes needed to fix problems, both small and large. What Alix loves most about her role is, as she states, “getting to help students become awesomely unique individuals.” She also enjoys relearning everything she’s forgotten from high school classes that aren't math or social studies.
Outside of work, Alix loves anything involving a swimming pool. She also likes experimenting with epoxy resin crafts, going to interesting places and getting random postcards, doing a really lazy job of gardening, and making her partner, Matt, listen to “boring school stories.”
Please join us in congratulating Alix Lifka-Reselman for 5 years of service at ADM!
