Katie Kayser celebrates 5 years of service with ADM this year!

Katie is a 7th & 8th grade literacy teacher at ADM Middle School.  She was born and raised in Hampton, IA and attended college at University of Northern Iowa (BA) and Viterbo University (MA).  She is starting her 5th year in her teaching career.  She wanted to be a teacher because she always felt a calling to serve others and be an agent for change and joy in the world.  

Katie chose ADM because she wanted to work in a great school system around the Des Moines metro area that wasn’t too big.  She stays with ADM because of the people; including her co-workers, students, families, and the administrators.  She appreciates the block schedule, as it allows her the opportunity to spend a lot of time with her students and really get to know them well by the end of the year.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys crafting, baking and cooking, spending time with family, and traveling.
