What a season for the ADM Speech Team! Our students worked hard, got creative, and put on some truly outstanding performances! Out of the 23 performers at competitions, 18 of them earned the highest rating of 1, which is an incredible achievement. From acting and storytelling to original oratory and poetry, our team really showcased their talents.
A big shoutout to Payton Taylor (Literary Program) and Brenna Seidl (Public Address), who were both nominated for All-State and performed at the All-State Festival on March 31st at UNI. Being nominated for All-State is a huge honor—it means their performances were among the best at the State competition, and getting invited to perform is a recognition of their skill and dedication.
Payton also earned the National High School Heart of the Arts Award, which is presented to students who go above and beyond in the arts and education-based activities. Payton has faced significant personal challenges but has continued to excel in school, sports, and speech. Her dedication and talent goes above and beyond. We are so proud of you, Payton!
The team also had some great results at the Walnut Hills Speech Tournament this season! Ella Greer placed 3rd in After Dinner Speaking, and Riley Milburn placed 2nd in the same category. Great work, team!
A huge thank you to our speech families and, of course, our talented students for their hard work and success this season. We can’t wait for next year’s season and are excited to see all the amazing things the team will achieve!
