The eighth annual Experiencing Success Today conference will be held at ADM High School on Friday, February 14.  The premise of the conference is simple: educators in our district possess a wealth of expertise and this day gives them the opportunity to share that expertise with each other.

Breakout sessions–created and led by ADM educators–will include Are Students in Charge of their Learning?, Shake It Up: Movement and Engagement, Crisis Prevention Review, GoGuardian for Teacher, and more. This year, teacher’s will also learn from presenters outside our district during breakout sessions, with sessions presented by Employee & Family Resources and IPERS representatives and Heartland AEA digital learning consultants.

This conference provides multiple opportunities for ADM teachers to learn and grow–from our own ADM teachers, outside organizations that support our work, and from a highly-sought after educational speaker. Joe Beckman will be opening the day and providing mid-day learning. The author of several books (Just Look Up and Just Look Back) and co-founder of the company TILL360 whose messages include “Human connection matters” and “I fight for kids,” Joe creates a continuous impact on educators (and people outside of the education setting) with his timeless words.

Joe has one simple mission: reclaim human connection.

He says we’re in greater need for human connection than ever before. When we slow down and put the screens down and really listen to each other’s stories, that’s when we give ourselves and each other the best chance to make an impact.
