World Kindness Day Celebrations
Meadow View students celebrated World Kindness Day on November 13th, 2024. Each student celebrated with their Tiger Team. Tiger Teams at Meadow View are set up to build relationships across all students in the building. A Tiger Team is made up of students from different grade levels and a teacher. This team stays together all year. The Tiger Teams get together monthly to do activities and build relationships with students.
During the time together students discussed the importance of showing kindness to ourselves and others, identified ways to show kindness in different situations and related the story to World Kindness Day. The story that was read was Just Like Caitlin. After reading the book the Tiger Team came up with kindness statement to post in the hallways for the whole school to read. All Tiger Team members were given a sticker to remember to continue to spread kindness.
