Sydney Landin joins ADM as a English/Language Arts Teacher at ADM High School! Sydney graduated from University of Iowa and is starting her 1st year of teaching.
Sydney chose ADM because she knew it was a place she could learn and grow as an educator with support from so many mentors and amazing administrators. She states, “The school district is constantly striving for more and pushing students to be their best, and I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to be a part of that!” Sydney became a teacher because she loves supporting students with their goals and helping them to discover who they want to be. She feels that in high school there is a sense of self discovery alongside all of the learning they do, and she loves watching them grow into wonderful people. Sydney has always loved the subject of English and wanted to make that fun for students who may not love it or connect to it the way she did. Sydney believes learning can be fun. When she was in middle school and high school, she witnessed peers who hated school begin to like it because of the teachers making it fun. Sydney knew she wanted to be that type of teacher for her students. In her free time, Sydney loves to read new books, travel with her family, and explore new coffee shops! This year she has made it her goal to watch as many new movies as possible in her free time, and at the start of August she was officially at 135 new movies!
Help us give a warm ADM welcome to Sydney Landin!
