Carrie Laizure joins ADM as a School Counselor at Meadow View Elementary and ADM High School this year.  She graduated from Drake University and is starting her 20th year of teaching.

Carrie enjoys spending time with her family and her new grandson.  Her other favorite activity is playing with her two dogs, Peanut and Piper.  Riding bikes, being in nature, watching movies, and listening to music are other relaxing activities Carrie enjoys outside of work.  Working with children and families has been a positive experience throughout Carrie’s life. She enjoys the energy and enthusiasm that each age group brings. In Carrie’s opinion, being a school counselor provides opportunities to help students become more well-rounded and balanced in life.  She believes, “there is a considerable amount of joy that comes with helping young children become successful young adults, while assisting families and staff on the journey.”  She is eager to join ADM to add some variety in her life and take on new challenges.  After being a middle school counselor for 13 years, she is ready to enjoy a split position serving both elementary and high school students.  Carrie shares, “This is a unique position that will provide new perspectives and experiences.  I am eager to be a Tiger!”

Please help us give a warm ADM welcome to Carrie Laizure!
