National Honor Society (NGS)
The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Membership Selection Process
All sophomore, junior, and senior students with a 3.8 cumulative GPA or higher will receive an eligibility email during the month of September. Students are then directed to the requirements for ADM membership and an application. Selection into NHS membership is a four-step process:
- Qualifying GPA of 3.8 or higher
- Application Process
- Teacher Recommendation List
The NHS Selection Committee uses the information from the application and teacher recommendations to make membership selections. The five-person NHS Selection Committee is a requirement of the national constitution.
