BioI am an Adel native and am proud to teach future alumni at my former high school. After graduating from Adel DeSoto High School, I spent a year and a half at the University of Iowa before I transferred to Iowa State University where I earned a bachelor’s of arts in history. I also have a master’s of education with an emphasis in special education from Drake. In addition to being a resource and U.S. and World History teacher, I also coach middle school volleyball and am the assistant girl’s track coach. I am very active in my church – Adel First Christian Church – and sing in the choir. Most nights I can usually be found at most of ADM’s home activities throughout the school year and am an avid Cyclones fan. When I have spare time, I enjoy crafting and reading. |

BioI am a Waukee native – from when it was still a small town. After graduation, I attended SWCC and graduated with an Associate Arts degree in 1988. While attending SWCC, I joined the Army Reserves in March 1987. In 1991, I married my husband, Gary. We have two grown daughters, Shelby and Rebecca. I finished my teaching degree at the University of Upper Iowa (Des Moines Campus in spring 2004). ADM was my first teaching placement as a high school special education teacher and have taught here for 10 years. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, cooking, watching sports, and being outdoors. |
