“I love kids’ creativity,” says Morgan Ostrander, ADM art teacher for Pre-K through fifth grade. “They always have new ideas and things that amaze me. I like when we do self-portraits. I love the technique of working step by step and drawing that picture and their amazement to see their likeness at the end.
“I also love when they work with clay. They are so excited to get their hands on it and work with it. It’s invigorating to see them feel so excited about it. I get excited about it. There is such an energy in the room. Everyone is excited about what they are doing and engaged and productive.
“It’s just the best job ever. I get to come and make art with kids and see what they have in their heads and see what come up with because they are going to do amazing things in the future with those ideas.”
