Construction Project Information

On February 4th, 2014, our district’s voters approved a $13.5 million bond issue, with 84.2% in favor, to fund additions and renovations throughout the district.  This level of support not only demonstrates the public’s recognition of the needs that we face as a growing district, but also validates the district’s efforts to provide high-quality resources for our students while safeguarding our residents’ tax dollars.

Addressing Our Needs

ADM’s served enrollment has increased by over 10% during the last four years, and projections have called for continued growth.  With school buildings that were already being fully-utilized, the district engaged in a facility master planning process during the 2012-13 school year.  After evaluating available options, the study committee recommended that additions to the four current school buildings be pursued, a solution that allows for future flexibility and would not result in a tax-rate increase.

Current Construction Projects

Adel Elementary Construction Site PlanAdel Elementary

Additions and renovations to Adel Elementary are currently under construction and scheduled to open in August, 2015.  This addition includes seven classrooms, while renovations include a number of existing classrooms, the entry and office spaces, and a reconfiguration and expansion of the parking and pickup/drop-off facilities.  The new parent pickup/drop-off area will be able to accommodate more parent vehicles and will be accessible directly off of Grove Street, south of the school.  The entrance off of Locust Street will now enter a dedicated bus pickup/drop-off facility.  The total anticipated costs of the Adel Elementary additions, renovations, and site improvements are $4,049,524.

DeSoto Intermediate

ADM Middle School

ADM High School
