A combined effort by the ADM Boys Basketball team and ADM High School Student Council helped package hundreds of meals at Meals from the Heartland Tuesday, November 9th.

Thirty student council members made the journey to West Des Moines to package meals in support of their November: Month of Giving campaign.  StuCo is focusing on giving back to their school and community with several activities throughout the month including building and grounds clean-up days and a food drive for the local food pantry.

The men’s basketball team was also in attendance as part of their service commitment to participate in the Pride Scrimmage hosted by Waukee High School.  To participate in the scrimmage, each team has to pick a service project they feel passionate about and basketball chose fighting to end hunger by packaging at Meals from the Heartland.

In total, over 50 ADM students packaged meals Tuesday night in their effort to end world hunger and serve the community.
