Students in Mrs. Gaffney’s and Mrs. Pettit’s PreKindergarten rooms are learning ways to stay safe during their Safety Unit. Students had the opportunity this week to listen to Officer Keller, our School Resource Officer for ADM Schools, share about stranger danger. Students learned that if they don’t know someone, they need to run away and tell a trusted adult. Along with this, students learned what the police do and how they keep people safe. Officer Keller showed students various tools he uses to keep people safe, such as stop signs, rope to save people who are struggling to swim, and batons to move traffic along.
