On Friday, April 16th, DeSoto Intermediate students celebrated the completion of their DARE program and participated in a class ceremony that included a video of Mrs. Banse and Mrs. Hemphill reading excerpts from the winning DARE essays.  Throughout this program, Officer Keller led our students in learning about the harmful effects of drug/alcohol use and peer pressure, and DeSoto Intermeidate students were equipped with a decision-making matrix that will support them in making positive and healthy choices in their futures.  Pictured below are the winning essay writers; way to go 5th graders!
