Human Body Systems class completed their activity to identify a “missing person”.  It involved looking at artificial bones for a missing person and taking measurements to identify the age, race, sex, and height of the missing person.  Upon narrowing down the list of missing people due to the measurements, students acquired DNA from the matching missing people. They used restriction enzymes to digest the DNA from their “bones” and from the “missing people” and run the DNA through the process of gel electrophoresis.  After running the gels, they could match their bone DNA to the missing person!
